This is not a philosophical platform - it is simply me trying to consciously be.
"For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17). Therefore, "...train yourself to be godly...[for] godliness has value for all things…for both the present life and the life to come" (1 Timothy 4:7b-8).

We were settling into routine, finding a groove, and trying to fit our family of five into a two-bedroom-pretending-to-be-three-bedroom-townhouse-with-frustrating-layout-and-high-rent.
I spent much of the first half of 2018 house hunting. We had looked at renting a bigger place, but as the cost on that would have been about $500 more per month if we Ouphhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13702424996595033386noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7385810623626730858.post-47390402013587176882018-07-01T23:47:00.000-05:002018-07-01T23:47:05.528-05:00One Year Ago TodayOn this day, one year ago, we completely changed our lives. We drove away from jobs and home and loved ones to a new adventure of the very much unknown. At 8 months pregnant it was terrifying. But God had us. And has us. And this past year has been full of Him.

#1 - The ending of last year and the beginning of this year has been quite full, almost like a crazy version of the 12 days of Christmas. 19 Christmas parties in 10 days, followed by three cases of the flu, Christmas visitors in the form of my big brother and sister-in-law, two friends dealing with tragedy, and a very long trip to Tennessee to help one of said friends.
